Do I need experience?
No experience necessary! We teach beginners and help experienced anglers and hunters refine their techniques for Alaska species. What's the weather like?
Southeast Alaska weather varies greatly. Summer temperatures range 50-70°F. Rain is common. We provide rain gear, but bring layers. Can I bring my own gear?
Absolutely! Many guests bring favorite rods or rifles. We have quality gear available but understand the comfort of your own equipment.
What about fishing/hunting licenses?
Purchase online at adfg.alaska.gov before arrival. We'll help you determine exactly what you need.
Can we customize our trip?
Yes! While we have set packages, we're happy to adjust based on your interests, seasons, and group preferences. What if weather is bad?
We fish and hunt in most weather. The yacht provides shelter, and we know protected spots. Very rarely do we lose whole days to weather.
Is seasickness a problem?
Our 82-foot yacht is very stable. We also choose protected waters when possible. Bring medication if you're prone to seasickness.
How much fish/game can I take home?
Alaska residents can take 50 pounds of processed fish. Non-residents have no limit. Most guests leave with 40-100 pounds of fish.
Is this family-friendly?
Yes, with limitations. Children 12+ who can handle outdoor activities are welcome. This is an active adventure, not a cruise. What's your success rate?
Fishing success is nearly 100% for something, 90%+ for target species in season. Hunting varies more but deer hunters typically have 80%+ success, bears 60%+.When should we book?
ASAP. We only take one group at a time. Prime dates (July-September) book 6-12 months in advance.
